What to Enter on the Warranty Form
Why It Matters
In Arizona, your HVAC system runs 7 to 8 months out of the year. Compressors, fan motors, and coils are under more sustained stress here than in almost any other climate in the country. Manufacturer warranties are your protection when something fails. But that protection is conditional on registration.
An unregistered system typically reverts to a short base warranty — sometimes as little as 5 years on parts. A registered system can carry 10 to 12 years of parts coverage, and some brands include extended labor coverage as well. In Arizona's heat, that gap represents real money.
Registration Deadline: 60–90 Days
Most manufacturers require warranty registration within 60 to 90 days of installation. Some brands have a 30-day window. Once that window closes, you lose access to extended coverage — permanently. Don't wait until something breaks to find out your warranty wasn't active.

Need Help?
Several manufacturers — particularly in the mini split category — require the installing contractor to complete a registration step in addition to (or instead of) the homeowner. If you're not sure whether your contractor handled registration, or if you're having trouble completing the process online, we can help.
For systems Sapper HVAC installed, we complete contractor-side registration as part of our standard process. But the homeowner registration step — which activates extended coverage — is sometimes separate and often overlooked. Don't assume it was done.
Call us at (602) 206-7359 and we'll confirm what was registered, walk you through any remaining steps, and make sure your warranty protection is fully active.
